Amalia Widyasanti built her career as an economic planner at the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency (Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Nasional or BAPPENAS). Since 2020, she has been the Agency’s Deputy for Economic Affairs. Prior to this, she held the positions of Expert Staff on Synergy for Economy and Financing, Director of Macroeconoomic Planning and Statistical Analysis and Director of Trade, Investment, and International Economic Cooperation in the Agency. She received her undergraduate degree from Bandung Institute of Technology, master’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and PhD degree from University of Melbourne.
